Educated Reading School and afterwards entered the employ of a firm of wholesale stationers.

1909, joined 28th London Regiment, (1st Artists Rifles), Service No.706; On outbreak of War volunteered for Foreign Service; 22nd October 1914; posted BEF as a Corporal; 18th December 1914, commissioned in the South Staffordshire Regiment; 16th February 1915, transferred to 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

His Commanding Officer in the South Staffordshire Regiment, described him as one of the promising young officers in his command both for resource and bravery.

2nd June 1915, Probate - Frost Kenneth, 11 Mayford Road, Balham, Surrey, Lieutenant Royal West Kent Regiment, died 22nd February 1915 near Ypres in Belgium. Administration London, 2nd June to Ralph Frost, printer. Effects £66 7s 7d.

* Captain Alan Frost, died 17th October 1917, aged 28. 28th Battalion, London Regiment (Artists' Rifles), attached 259th Company, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Buried Dar as Salam War Cemetery, M. 2. Tanzania. Inscription - THERE'S SOME CORNER OF A FOREIGN FIELD THAT IS FOR EVER ENGLAND

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47., Belgium & at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
