Second Lieutenant Kenneth FROST, 1st Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, Zillebeke, Flanders, France, 22nd February 1915, age 23.

Younger Son of Ralph Frost, (Managing Director of J Miles & Co Ltd, 68-70 Wardour Street, Member of the Westminster City Council), by his wife Sarah, (died 1895), (daughter of John Bolton of Manchester), of 13, Wandle Road, Wandsworth Common, London.

Born 28th April 1892, London.

Educated Reading School and afterwards entered the employ of a firm of wholesale stationers.

Unmarried.

1909, joined Artists Rifles; on outbreak of War volunteered for Foreign Service and as a Corporal left his Battalion for France, 22nd October 1914; three months later he was given a commission in the South Staffordshire Regiment, being transferred to 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, 16th February 1915.

His Commanding Officer in the South Staffordshire Regiment, described him as one of the promising young officers in his command both for resource and bravery.

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47., Belgium & at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
