London Gazette 4th October 1919.

2nd Lieutenant Albert Maurice Razzell, Royal West Kent Regiment, Special Reserve, attached 10th Battalion.

Near Knokke on the night of 23rd / 24th October 19148, in a night attack on a strongly held enemy hill position the company came under intense machine gun fire, causing heavy causalities, including the company commander, and the attack became disorganised. He rallied the company and continued the attack, and by his gallantry and ready resource greatly contributed to the success of the operation.
